Reengineering and porting

Another service provided by Unisoft Plus is porting legacy software systems to new platforms/environments. It is easier to engineer and produce today's software solutions using the legacy system as a start-up basis rather than develop a program from scratch. Thus, the time and efforts required for the design and the development of detailed specifications is usually significantly reduced.
Unisoft Plus has successfully completed several projects like this in business and technical areas.

Examples of reengineering and porting:

• Gas Delivery Forecasting System
  An expert-like system for registering readings from gauging equipment, liquid/bulk delivery forecast and track keeping of all deliveries. This system was ported from MS DOS/Paradox to Windows
• CAD Post-Processor
  A post-processor for a CAD system to convert a flow sheet into a data set for uploading to the corporate database. Such a data set contains pieces extracted from the flow sheet classified separately into many different categories.
  The original system was written in FORTRAN and ran under UNIX. It was converted into a Windows application written in C++.
